Lying on your CV: What are you risking?

Currently looking for a job , you were unable to skip the “I am writing my CV” box. A step that has become quite simply essential today, the CV is the document that every recruiter expects to receive from a candidate. Yet writing a CV is not easy.

You wrote your CV and sent it in response to advertisements, and yet no recruiter is coming back to you positively and you are not invited to any interview? There are two possible explanations: either the positions you are applying for simply do not match your profile and you need to reconsider your ambitions, or your CV is not up to par and does not highlight your profile and your skills. If this is the case, it is high time to consider overhauling your CV and putting the odds in your favor.

Some take the time to contact your former employers but they still remain on the margins. Only professional recruiting agencies go to the trouble of investigating the content of your CV. So finally, we could say that lying on his CV represents little risk. But is this really the case?

What are the risks of lying on your CV?

Now imagine that the recruiter does not verify the information on your CV and invites you for an interview. You risk quickly getting caught up in your lies and will not be credible with the recruiter. You may find yourself in an embarrassing situation and similarly, get blacklisted.

In your job search, spend time on your CV is therefore important . However, if like many people you plan to lie on your resume, choose your lies carefully and make sure you can back them up in the face of a recruiter.
